Opera Birmingham is the largest professional opera company in the state, producing two fully staged operas each season and presenting concert recitals which feature some of the world’s greatest singers. Opera Birmingham uses a professional chorus and orchestra for each of its opera productions. In addition, the Opera company has a vital and ever expanding educational outreach program that takes opera into local schools, reaching over 15,000 children each year.
