Description

The history of the Birmingham Barons traces back to 1885, when the Barons (originally named the Coal Barons) played in the many southern leagues that existed during the early years of baseball. In those years, the leagues came and went, but baseball in Birmingham survived. 2010 marks the 110th season of baseball in Birmingham, as well as the 125th year of existence for one of the most historic and celebrated franchises in Minor League Baseball. The Barons have been affiliated with the Chicago White Sox since 1986 and are the only Class AA team in the country to have drawn a quarter of a million fans during each of the last 21 years. It all takes place at Regions Park, one of the most beautiful parks in all the minor leagues. Every seat is close to the action. Call today for Barons tickets! Banquet & Meeting Facilities from 25-500 people. Full service catering.nnThe history of the Birmingham Barons traces back to 1885, when the Barons (originally named the Coal Barons) played in the many southern leagues that existed during the early years of baseball.
