Jefferson County Hotels are following orders and guidelines from the CDC, Jefferson County Department of Public Health and our state and local government.  Guidelines are also being provided by Corporate Brands, and the collaboration with American Hotel and Lodging Association.

Enhanced  Cleaning / Disinfecting Procedures
Increased frequency of cleaning public areas (to include lobbies, elevators, elevator buttons,  door handles, public restrooms, escalators, rails etc.)  As well as high touched surfaces such as tables, doorknobs, light switches, countertops, handles, desks, phones, keyboards, ATMs, Fitness rooms and equipment.

Utilizing CDC recommended cleaning and disinfectant solutions, as well as hospital grade disinfectants.  Elevated protocols to thoroughly clean and disinfect guest rooms.  Provide disinfectant wipes in guest rooms for guest to use. Removal of in-room glass wear and replace with paper cups.

Thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing guestrooms after checkout.

Front Desk,
Some hotels have placed safety partitions to minimize guest contact. Front desk staff must wear facial masks and gloves. Sanitizer/ disinfectant  stations are available. Digital Key access is highly encouraged to limit front desk contact.  Social distancing implemented.   If traveling with immediate parties,  group can remain together. (Example check in, dining, ride elevator, etc)

Front desk will advise.  Amenities, (shampoo, lotion, conditioner) are provided @ the front desk upon request.  (Avoiding touch and waste.)  At some hotels, proof of guest ID required.   

Physical Distancing–  Signage in public spaces remind guest to maintain social distancing. Physical barriers may be installed also.

Multiple hand sanitizer stations located throughout all common areas and meeting rooms.

Hotel Employees Health and Wellness

Regular briefings on training and operating protocols.
Enhanced employee safety, PPE (facial masks and gloves) provided.
Staff must wear facial masks and gloves.
Reinforcing Hand Hygiene, frequent hand washing or using alcohol-based hand sanitizer
Monitoring employee health daily (various methods)
Stay home when sick

Currently housekeeping services are limited

Dining

Currently some hotels are not offering any food service, restaurants, coffee bars, snack stands are closed.  They are working towards reopening. Others offer limited service such as in-room dining, take out only (Grub- Hub, etc.  Check with hotel for policy.
