Birmingham Legion FC set to host Atlanta United in a Preseason Exhibition Match on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 2pm
BIRMINGHAM, ALA (Dec. 13, 2023) – Birmingham Legion FC announce today that it will welcome 2018 MLS Cup Champions, Atlanta United, back to Birmingham with a preseason friendly at Protective Stadium on Saturday, January 27 at 2 PM.
Legion FC season ticket holders who have purchased and confirmed their 2024 seats will receive tickets as part of their membership benefits. For those that have not reserved, 2024 season ticket memberships are available now. Season ticket holders will have priority access to purchase additional tickets.
“We are excited to welcome Major League Soccer and Atlanta United back to Birmingham,” said Jay Heaps. “This is another great opportunity for fans to see Legion FC play against one of the best teams in MLS and show their support by filling Protective.”
This preseason friendly against Major League Soccer’s Atlanta United will kick off Legion’s sixth season of the USL Championship. Atlanta United standouts Thiago Almada, Giorgos Giakoumakis, Luis Abram, Tristan Muyumba, and Caleb Wiley will go up against Legionnaires Enzo Martinez, Alex Crognale, Phanuel Kavita, Mikey Lopez, and Matt VanOekel as well as new signing AJ Paterson.
