We can all agree that we’re glad to close the books on 2020.
It was a devastating year for restaurants in Birmingham, many of which closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and all of which had to adapt to the “new” normal of curbside service and restricted seating.
But 2021 is finally here, and soon, we hope and pray, we can return to the “old” normal and enjoy going out to lunch or dinner with our friends without worrying about wearing a mask or having our temperature checked.

Until then, we can still enjoy many of Birmingham’s most delicious dishes and at the same time, show some of our favorite restaurants and food trucks a little love.

With that in mind, we’ve put together a list of 21 Birmingham dishes — including a few classics,
as well as several new finds — that we look forward to eating in 2021.
