At long last, Frank & Pardis Stitt’s Highlands Bar and Grill is named Outstanding Restaurant by the James Beard Foundation after 10 consecutive years of being nominated for the award. The exciting night started early for the Highlands team as their long-time pastry chef, Dolester Miles, was named Outstanding Pastry Chef.

Highlands Bar and Grill has been a Birmingham staple for more than 35 years. See the Highlands team and Frank Stitt talk about this honor at the awards ceremony in Chicago Monday night.

Besting finalists from Seattle, San Francisco, Boulder and New York City, Highlands proves that Birmingham’s food scene stands among the best in the nation. To quote last year’s winner, Rick Bayless, “this makes [us] really happy.”
