Cycling culture has been on the rise in Birmingham for quite some time now, and with the recent addition of our very own bikeshare program it’s now more popular than ever. Zyp Bikeshare is a citywide collective of bicycles in downtown Birmingham that you can rent, ride, and enjoy whenever you’d like.

So, where can you Zyp to? The options are endless, but here are a few of our favorite weekend suggestions:

Parks

Whether you want a leisurely afternoon in the sun or an adventure with friends, Zyp makes it easy to enjoy our city’s coolest greenspaces. Check out their map to see which parks their stations are located near.

Barons Game

Zyp on over to Regions Field and root for Birmingham’s home team! The Birmingham Barons’ new season is officially in full swing (click here to see their full schedule). Skip the hassle of parking and Zyp straight to getting your peanuts and Cracker Jack!

Breweries & Bars

With four different breweries located across the heart of our city, it’s safe to say Birmingham’s craft beer scene is booming these days. Grab some friends and Zyp on over to see what’s happening at your favorite local brew house.

Farmer’s Market

The Pepper Place Farmers Market is a weekend staple in Birmingham this time of year. Happening from 7am-12pm every Saturday, the market is a chance to grab your week’s groceries or just to hang out and enjoy the live music. Each and every Zyp bike is equipped with a basket, making it easy to transport your groceries from the market to your ride!

Check out the Zyp site for more information about the bikeshare program, where stations are located, and how to check out your ride.
