Civil Rights Institute Juneteenth festival set
The Birmingham Civil Rights Institute will have its 20th Juneteenth Culture Festival on June 6 at historic Kelly Ingram Park. The institute is commemorating the 150th anniversary of Juneteenth, which marks the end of slavery in the United States. The family-oriented event is free and will include music, contests, food vendors and free admission to the BCRI galleries. www.bcri.org

“Flicks Among the Flowers” is great seasonal entertainment
