Theatre

On a smaller scale, the 1,071-seat Theatre has all the impressive qualities of the Concert Hall. Two large lifts allow the shape and size of the 50-foot by 70-foot stage to change from straight proscenium opening, to thrust theatre, to semi-arena, to theatre in the round.

Two rehearsal halls adjacent to the stage duplicate the main stage. Backstage areas are so large that a Rolls Royce once used in a production took up very little space.

Ballets, small operas, plays, concerts, meetings, recitals and seminars are performed regularly in the classic setting of the Theatre.
