BJCC Concert Hall

The 3,000-seat Concert Hall has a special sense of intimacy with the back wall only 100 feet from the stage. Soft, roomy theatre seats are arranged in a series of small sections fanning out through the extra wide hall.

Above the auditorium, a huge acoustical chamber controls the sound reverberation time from the stage. Near perfect adjustments can be made for speeches or music, and a speaker on stage can be heard clearly on the last row of the top balcony without amplification. The superbly constructed stage is 85 feet wide.

Other facilities include an orchestra pit 60 feet wide, which sits on two hydraulic lifts; a pipe organ; 12 dressing rooms for stars and principals; two chorus dressing rooms, each holding 50 people; a ballet rehearsal room with barre; the Green Room; a loading dock; scenery storage and a demountable orchestra shell.
