    The Grand-Am Road Racing Series returns to the Barber Motorsports Park for the 7th annual Porsche 250 presented by Legacy Credit Union. This year's action-packed schedule will feature five exciting races: Daytona Prototype and Rolex GT, Koni GS, Koni ST, BFGoodrich/Skip Barber National Presented by Mazda, SCCA Playboy Mazda MX-5 Cup

    Artwalk is an arts festival that transforms Birmingham's loft neighborhood into an arts district, featuring the work of more than 100 visual artists, live musicians, street performers, food and drink vendors, and children's activities.
  • Sidewalk Moving Picture Film Festival25-27 Sidewalk Moving Picture Film Festival
    The 11th annual Sidewalk Moving Picture Festival, a celebration of new independent cinema in downtown Birmingham, is set to take place September 25-27, 2009. Since its debut in 1999, filmmakers from across the country and around the world have come to Birmingham to screen their work at Sidewalk and have been thrilled to discover fresh, enthusiastic crowds eager to devour new independent cinema.

  • Bluff Park Art Show3 Bluff Park Art Show
    This prestigious event is sponsored by the Bluff Park Art Association and held each year on the first Saturday in October. The show began as a fund raising event first held in 1963, and has grown to include over 125 artists. Proceeds from the show are used to support the community and the arts.

  • 5th Annual Barber Vintage Festival9-11 5th Annual Barber Vintage Festival
    The Barber Vintage Festival will host a variety of events for spectators to enjoy including a swap meet, flea market, and vintage demos. Visitors will also have a rare chance to see and hear the exotic motorcycles from the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum which is home to one of the largest vintage and modern motorcycle collections in the world. Park admission includes all events.
  • AME Church Classic Revival28-29 Classic Revival
    St. John AME Church is getting a jump start on the Magic City Classic by hosting a "Classic Revival" on Oct. 28-29 at 708 15th St. North. There will be tailgating, Christian hip hop artist, worship, choirs, Alabama State University fans on one side of the sanctuary and Alabama A&M University fans on the other. Tailgating begins at 5 p.m. and the revival starts at 6:30 p.m. There will be free food, drawings for Magic City Classic football tickets and more. Wear your favorite team's logos or colors.
