During these strange and unsettling times, it’s important to have something to look forward to. Travel has always been the satisfying escape for those seeking adventure and new experiences.  While this is not a time to make immediate travel plans, the idea of future journeys helps our imaginations prepare for something better, for a time to explore new places and to meet new people. It can be a time to visualize experiencing the charming and entertaining communities of the Birmingham area.  So, while we can’t travel right now, nothing can quell the anticipation of what’s to come.  We’re here envisioning your visit because we miss your company.  Stay safe and look to the future.

Special Announcement Concerning COVID-19

The Greater Birmingham Convention & Visitors Bureau is monitoring the path of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) closely along with health officials and our local hospitality industry partners. As with other cities in the country, our major tourist attractions are temporarily closed for the well-being of our visitors and residents. We miss being able to entertain our guests and hope our region will soon return to its vibrancy. While you’re on our site, please look around at itineraries for visitors, and make your plans to come for a getaway when travel allows. Until then, observe recommendations from health experts and know that we hope to see you soon at the “Dinner Table of the South.”
