Nearly 10 miles of hiking footpaths wind through the preserve, putting hikers up close to the beauty of the natural setting.

Year after year, the Oak Moun- tain Amphitheatre continues to

host some of the nation s biggest touring acts. This outdoor am- phitheater is simply an awesome place to take in a concert. I ve seen two of my all-time favor- ite concerts here. Not a bad seat in the house! Ryan B.

Oak Mountain, Alabama s largest park, is home to nearly 10,000 acres of pine-studded ridges and lush green hardwood bottoms. Visitors enjoy vacation cottages, golfing, camping, picnicking, swimming, boating, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, backpacking, horseback riding and even a demonstration farm complete with animals! I love Oak Mountain! I ve biked a lot of different places, and mile for mile, I put Oak Mountain on my list of top 10 trails. If you are ever in Birmingham you have to check it out. Brendan K.
